Forward receipts by email and attach them later

Need to capture a receipt quickly but not ready to log in? With Soldo’s email forwarding feature, you can send receipts or invoices straight to your Soldo account and attach them to your transactions later from either the web or mobile app. Receipt forwarding is available to customers on Plus and Unlimited plans.

Tip: This is ideal for receipts you receive by email or store on your desktop or device.

How it works

Each user gets their own unique forwarding email address (e.g. yourcompany-uniquename@mysoldo.com).

Simply forward receipts or invoices to this address. They’ll be stored in your Soldo Library, where you can attach them to transactions later.

How to find your forwarding email

  1. Log in to the web app.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Users.
  3. Select your name.
  4. Your personal forwarding email will be listed in the Overview section under Forwarding email address.
Tip: Add your Soldo forwarding address to your contacts (e.g. "Soldo Receipts") in your email app for quick access.

How to save your forwarding email as a contact

In Outlook or webmail:

  1. Copy your @mysoldo.com address
  2. Create a new contact in your email client
  3. Name it something memorable like Soldo Receipts
  4. Paste in your forwarding address and save

On mobile (iOS or Android):

  1. Open your Contacts app
  2. Add a new contact and enter your @mysoldo.com address
  3. Save it for quick use later

How to attach a receipt from your Library

Once you've forwarded your receipt, here’s how to attach it to a transaction:

In the web app

Who: All cardholders.
  1. From the navigation menu, select Cards.
  2. Select your card.
  3. Select the Transactions tab.
  4. Choose the transaction you want to update.
  5. Click Select from library under the upload section.
  6. Pick your receipt from the list and attach it.

In the mobile app

Who: All cardholders.
  1. Go to Cards and select your card.
  2. Tap Transactions and open the relevant one.
  3. Tap + and choose Select from library.
  4. Select your receipt and attach it.
Note: You can upload and attach multiple files if needed. If you upload the wrong file, simply remove it and try again.

OCR and auto-matching

If your company is using Soldo’s Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature, any receipts you forward will be automatically matched with the relevant transaction, no manual steps needed.

This saves time and improves accuracy, especially if you're sending receipts on the go. To find out if OCR is enabled for your account, check with your company admin.

What gets uploaded when using OCR + Library?

  • Attachments only: If your email includes attachments (PDF, JPG, PNG), they’ll be uploaded individually to your Library.
  • Email body only: If there are no attachments, the email content will be converted into a PDF and uploaded as the receipt.
