If you've received a temporary virtual card, either from submitting a request or being assigned one by your admin, you'll need to activate it before you can spend. This gives you control over when the 7-day usage window begins, so you can activate it when you're ready to make a purchase.
Unlike regular Soldo cards, temporary virtual cards expire automatically 7 days after activation and can’t be reactivated once they've expired. If your card expires before you use it, you’ll need to ask for a new one or request that your admin assigns another.
How to activate your card in the web app
- From the navigation menu, select Pre-approved spend.
- Find the spend entry linked to the temporary card.
- Select the spend entry to open the details panel.
- You'll be able to review the information about the spend such as the amount, number of transactions allowed, and what the spend is for.
- When you're ready, select Activate card.
Your card will be ready to use instantly. From the moment you activate, the 7-day countdown begins. After that, the card will automatically expire and can't be used again.
How to activate your card in the mobile app

Your card will be ready to use instantly. From the moment you activate, the 7-day countdown begins. After that, the card will automatically expire and can't be used again.
