If you’ve been assigned to a company card, it means you can spend company money using a shared Soldo card. Company cards are typically used for teams, departments, or projects, and may have multiple users assigned.
What you can do with a company card
As an authorised assignee, you can:
- Use the card for online and in-store purchases (subject to the card format e.g. virtual/plastic)
- View full card details (PAN, CVC, billing address, expiry)
- View the PIN (for plastic cards)
- Track transactions in the app or web
- Attach receipts and add expense details
You’ll find your company card listed in both the web app and mobile app. If you have your own personal Soldo card as well, you can use filters to easily switch between cards.
Can I add a company card to Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Only if there is one assignee. Company cards can only be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay if there’s a single user assigned to the card. If the card has multiple assignees, you won't be able to add it in the Soldo mobile app.
Keeping transactions accountable
When you spend using a company card, it’s important to record who made the transaction. This keeps everything transparent for your finance team and helps them track expenses accurately.
You can do this easily from the transaction details screen, typically at the same time as uploading your receipt:
- Open the transaction in the web or mobile app to view the transaction details.
- Scroll to the section that says Transaction made by:.
- Select your name from the list of assignees.
Online purchase approvals
If you're making an online purchase that requires authentication (3D Secure), here’s how it works with company cards:
- All assignees will receive a push notification from the Soldo mobile app
- Any assignee can approve the transaction in the app
- SMS codes are not sent if there are multiple assignees
