Soldo user cards are assigned to specific people and shouldn't be shared with others.
Whether your card is physical or virtual, it's assigned to you and your company has authorised you to to use the card and access the funds in the connected wallet. You're responsible for all transactions made with your card.
Why card sharing is not allowed
When someone else uses your card, it becomes difficult to:
- Track who made each purchase
- Attach the right receipt to each transaction
- Match spending to the correct budget or project
- Ensure security if your PIN or card details are shared
For online purchases, Soldo uses 3D Secure to verify your identity. This requires your phone or approval, so other people will not be able to complete the payment.
What if someone else needs to make a payment?
If a colleague needs to make a purchase, they should use their own Soldo card. If they do not have one yet, speak to your manager or admin so they can be assigned a card or make a request for pre-approved spend.
What about Company cards?
Soldo also offers Company cards, which can be used by more than one person. These are assigned to authorised users who are allowed to spend with the card. Only these assignees can:
- View the card details
- Attach receipts and track transactions
Even with a Company card, only people assigned to that card should use it.
