Why should I use the Optical recognition (OCR) feature?

The OCR feature can be used to automatically attach receipts, check attachments and prefill fields in the transaction details. Here are some of the benefits of using it:
  1. Streamline email forwarding: When a receipt or invoice is sent to the Soldo document library, the OCR automatically attaches it to the relevant transaction ready for the employee to submit.
  2. Attachment consistency: When a receipt or invoice is attached to a transaction, the OCR checks to make sure it’s a match, and flags to the employee if it isn’t.
  3. Attachment quality: When a receipt or invoice is attached to a transaction, the OCR checks to make sure the quality is sufficient, and flags to the employee if it isn’t.
  4. Save time: The OCR automatically extracts data from receipts and invoices to prefill certain transaction details, reducing the need for manual data entry.
  5. Reduce errors: As data is extracted and prefilled automatically, the risk of errors by manual input is greatly reduced.
