Prerequisites for SSO
Before you can login to Soldo with SSO you will need:
- A Soldo Unlimited plan with SSO enabled
- To complete the setup between your Identity Provider and Soldo
- Add your users to your Identity Provider for the Soldo application
- Create your users in Soldo
Soldo SSO does not currently support automatic provisioning of users. Users must be created or already exist in the Soldo application with the same email address that is used by your Identity Provider.
Login to Soldo with SSO
After satisfying the prerequisites for SSO, login is simple:
- From the web console login screen, select Log in with SSO.
- Enter your Email address and select Continue.
You will then be redirected to your Identity Provider.
The next steps will depend on the Identity Provider that you are using.
Generally, you will be required to:
- Provide your email address and password.
- Complete Two Factor Authentication (2FA) if required by your Identity Provider.
After providing your credentials to your Identity Provider you will be redirected back to Soldo.
- Select the company that you want to access.
If you only access a single Soldo account with your email address, you will not be required to select your company. This step is only provided to users who access multiple Soldo accounts.
Soldo will verify your credentials.
When your credentials have been verified, you will be required to complete the Secure Customer Authentication (SCA) as an additional security measure.
You are not required to complete SCA everytime that you login with SSO. If you choose to Trust this browser, the SCA is only required every 90 days.
- Select your preferred verification method to complete the SCA.
When you have completed the SCA verification, you will be redirected to your Dashboard.
How do I switch to another company with SSO?
Switching to another company that also has SSO activated couldn’t be simpler.
- Select your profile to open the user menu.
- Select the dropdown and choose the company that you would like to switch to.
- Select Change company.
If the company that you want to switch to does not have SSO enabled on the account you will still be required to enter the password for that account.
How will login experience change after SSO is activated on my account?
If you are considering implementing SSO, there are a few points to consider:
- Existing user credentials will be disabled for all users and they will be required to login with SSO.
- Any new user that you create in the web console will also need to be added to your Identity Provider and will be required to login with SSO.
- There will be no option to reset a users password in the web console. This will be managed by your Identity Provider.
SSO is currently only available for the web console and not in the Soldo mobile app.
