How to set up Automatic export on a new accounting integration

This guide explains how to set up and enable Automatic export during the initial setup of your accounting integration. If you’ve already set up your integration, take a look at this guide to find out how to enable Automatic export for your integration.

Enable Automatic export during setup

  1. Follow the standard process to set up your chosen integration. At the final step of setup, you can enable Automatic export
  2. At the bottom of the Rules page, select the toggle to enable Automatic export.

  3. Select an Expense review status for Automatic exports. You can choose from:
     
    • Transaction can have any review status
    • Transaction must have the approved status
    • Transaction must be approved and included in an expense report
Note: Expense review status is only available when the Expense review feature is activated. For more information on setting up and activating Expense review, see this guide: Set up the expense review feature.

  1. Select an expense type. You can choose any combination from:
     

    • Travel & Entertainment
    • Company
    • Personal
    Tip: This step is optional. You can skip it if you don't want to set an expense type.

  2. Select Complete setup.

  3. Automatic Export is now enabled, and your transactions will be exported to your connected integration daily at 01:00 AM UTC. If you want to modify or disable Automatic export at any time, follow this guide.
Note: Automatic export will also follow any conditions you've set in the Transaction rules section, such as Mandatory details, along with any additional requirements from your chosen integration. You’ll be able to see what conditions are required by your integration during setup.

    • Travel & Entertainment
    • Company
    • Personal

  2. Select Complete setup.
