How to edit or delete roles

Roles that can't be edited or deleted

The following default roles in Soldo have fixed permissions and can't be modified or removed:

  • Accountant
  • Admin
  • Driver
  • Employee
  • Leader
  • Limited access
  • Limited Admin
  • Super admin

Note: Only custom roles can be edited or deleted. If you need to create a new custom role, follow this guide.

How to edit a custom role

  1. From the left-side menu, select Configure > Permissions.
  2. Select the custom role you want to edit from the list.
  3. Make the necessary changes.
  4. Select Save to apply your changes.

How to delete a custom role

  1. From the left-side menu, select Configure > Permissions..
  2. Hover over the role and select the delete icon.
  3. Confirm by selecting Yes, remove.

Important: If you see an error when trying to delete a role, it’s likely because it's still assigned to a user.

To resolve this:

  1. From the left-side menu, select Users.
  2. Select the user who has the role.
  3. Select the Roles tab.

    If it's an Admin role, follow these steps:
  4. From the Admin section, select the Admin toggle to disable.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Try deleting the role again.

    If it's a Manager role, follow these steps:
  7. From the Manager section, select Unassign role.
  8. Try deleting the role again.
