Lock or unlock your Soldo card

If you've misplaced your Soldo card or want to prevent it from being used temporarily, you can lock it in just a few steps. This blocks all payments until you unlock it again.

This guide shows you how to lock and unlock your card in both the web app and mobile app, and explains the difference between a temporary lock and an admin lock.

Why lock your card?

  • You’ve misplaced your card and want to stop payments while you look for it
  • You’re not sure if the card is secure, but you’re not ready to report it as lost or compromised
  • You've added your card to Apple Pay or Google pay and want to prevent any accidental usage

A locked card can’t be used for payments, either online or in-store. You can unlock it any time, as long as it’s not locked by an admin.

Lock or unlock your card in the mobile app

Who: All cardholders.
  1. Log in to the mobile app.
  2. Tap Cards in the bottom navigation.
  3. Tap your card.
  4. Tap the Security icon.
  5. Tap Lock card to prevent payments.

To unlock your card:

  1. Follow steps 1–4 above.
  2. Tap Unlock card to allow payments again.

Lock or unlock your card in the web app

Who: All cardholders.
  1. Log in to the web app
  2. From the navigation menu, select Cards.
  3. Click your card.
  4. Select the Security icon.
  5. Select Lock card.

To unlock your card:

  1. Follow steps 1–4 above
  2. Select Unlock card.

What’s an admin lock?

In some cases, a Super admin or Admin might apply an admin lock to your card. This is a stricter control, and it can only be removed by an admin. If your card is admin-locked, you’ll see this in the app and won’t be able to unlock it yourself.
