Temporarily lock your card

With Soldo, you can temporarily lock your card, preventing any payments until the lock is removed. You can do this from the web and mobile apps.

Lock your card from the mobile app

1. Log in to the mobile app.
2. From the bottom navigation menu, select Cards.
3. Tap on the card you want to lock.
4. Tap Security.
5. Tap Lock card.

To remove the lock:

1. Follow steps 1–4 above.
2. Tap Unlock card.

Lock your card from the web app

1. Log in to the web app.
2. From the left-side menu, select Cards.
3. Select the card you want to lock.
4. Select Security.
5. Select Lock card.

To remove the lock:

1. Follow steps 1–4 above.
2. Select Unlock card.

Lock a card as an admin

If you're a Super admin or Admin, you can "lock a card as an admin". This will prevent the card from being used to make payments. The admin lock can't be removed by cardholders so, if you want to allow the card to be used again, you'll need to remove the admin lock.

Here's how:

Lock card as admin from the mobile app

1. Log in to the mobile app.
2. From the bottom navigation menu, select Cards.
3. Tap on the card you want to lock.
4. Tap Security.
5. Tap Lock card as admin.

To remove the admin lock:

1. Follow steps 1–4 above.
2. Tap Unlock card as admin.

Lock card as admin from the web app

1. Log in to the web app.
2. From the left-side menu, select Cards.
3. Select the card you want to lock.
4. Select Security.
5. Select Lock card as admin.

To remove the admin lock:

1. Follow steps 1–3 above.
2. Select Remove Admin lock.

When should you use each lock?

The temporary lock is available to all Soldo cardholders and is useful if you’ve misplaced your card but aren’t sure if it’s lost. You can unlock it at any time. The admin lock, is only available to Super admins and Admins. It provides stricter control by restricting use of the card.
