Bank transfer access is an add-on to Soldo’s Bank transfer feature (previously Pay someone). It lets you authorise employees or teams to make bank transfers, while giving finance teams complete control over spending, payment limits, payee access, and funding sources.
With Bank transfer access, you can cut admin time, reduce process costs, and empower employees to manage payments without losing financial oversight. Whether it’s a one-off supplier payment or recurring transfers to employees or clients, Bank transfer access helps businesses delegate payments securely and within policy.
Benefits:
- Empower users to make bank transfers when a card payment isn’t possible.
- Cut time-to-payment from days to minutes.
- Control who can pay, how much, and how often.
- Reduce compliance risks and manual reconciliation.
- Simplify financial tracking by including these transactions in expense reports.
- Provide temporary pre-approved access to bank transfer payments.
- Empower users to request authorisation to make bank transfer payments.
Two ways to delegate bank transfers:
- Single Bank transfer access – for authorising individual users.
- Shared Bank transfer access – for authorising a group of users who share the same limits and rules.
How does it work?
Bank transfer access lets Super admins delegate bank transfer payments whilst maintaining maximum control and oversight of spending. Here’s an overview of the controls and visibility available with Bank transfer access:
Access types
Decide who you'll authorise to make bank transfer payments.
- Single access: authorise one user.
- Shared access: authorise multiple users. Limits are shared among all authorised users.
Spending limits
Control how much your authorised users can spend with bank transfers.
- Set daily, weekly, monthly, or per bank transfer limits.
- Combine multiple limits to create flexible policies. For example: €1,000 monthly limit, up to €200 per transfer.
Transfer limits
- Decide how often they can make bank transfer payments.
- Control how many transfers users can make in a given time. For example: 10 transfers per month or 1 per day.
Wallet selection
Authorise transfers only from selected wallets.
Note: You’ll authorise access to wallet funds. Users won’t have visibility of the wallet transactions, they’ll only see the funds available for transfers.
Payee controls
- Control who your authorised users can pay.
- Decide whether users can pay new payees (unlisted payees).
- Limit payments to verified payees only.
- Restrict payees by category (e.g. suppliers, clients, employees).
- Give access to specific payees only.
Reporting and visibility
- Maintain maximum visibility and oversight of bank transfer payments.
- Include bank transfer payments in the Expense review process.
- Transactions appear in reports with the transaction owner (the user who made the payment).
- Reports can be filtered to show bank transfers only.
- Authorised users get instant access to Bank transfers when you set up their access.
FAQs
Is Bank transfer access available on my plan?
Bank transfer access is available as part of an add-on to all Unlimited plans called Decentralised Purchasing. If you’re interested in adding Bank transfer access to your current plan, speak to your Soldo representative or contact us at businesssupport@soldo.com.
Are there any payment limits?
There are limits on how much can be paid in a single transaction and overall. The limits are based on your business risk profile for each account. The payment limits for GBP and Euros can be found by selecting View limits from the Bank transfer access screen.
Note: The image above is for representation only. Your limits will be based on your business risk profile.
Can I give users temporary access like with a Temporary virtual card?
Yes! We realise that in some cases you may only need to provide temporary authorisation for making bank transfers. That’s why we’ve built this into our pre-approved spend functionality so you can provide temporary access with all the benefits and flexibility on spending and transfer limits included. Your users can even make a request to spend with bank transfers in the same way that they can request additional funds for their card.
