We’ve renamed the Pay someone feature. It’s now called Bank transfers. The new name supports the launch of a new add-on feature called Bank transfer access, which lets approved users make bank transfer payments with built-in controls.
What’s changed?
- The name. Pay someone is now Bank transfers.
- We've added a new dedicated "Payee" section. You'll find this in Configure > Payees.
- Some parts of the interface and navigation have been enhanced to support the new Bank transfer access add-on.
- We've updated our support articles to reflect these changes.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is needed. You can continue using Bank transfers as usual. The new name does not affect how the feature works.
If your teams could benefit from more autonomy when making payments, you might consider adding Bank transfer access to your plan. This add-on gives extra flexibility to make bank transfer payments securely and within policy without routing every decision through finance.
Why the name change?
We updated the name to align with the launch of Bank transfer access. This new functionality adds more control and flexibility for businesses that need to delegate bank transfer payments to individuals or teams.
What is Bank transfer access?
Bank transfer access is an optional add-on and an enhancement to the Bank transfer feature (previously Pay someone) . With the standard Bank transfer feature, payments are limited to Super admins. With Bank transfer access, you can empower employees and equip them with an additional payment method to complement Soldo cards whilst still maintaining that all-important control.
With this feature, you can:
- Allow approved users to make bank transfer payments.
- Provide shared access to bank transfer payments, enabling entire teams to make payments when needed.
- Apply transfer limits and rules to control exactly how much employees can spend and who they can pay.
- Create temporary pre-approved access to bank transfer payments for employees who only need to make the occasional bank transfer payment.
- Request access to bank transfer payments, in addition to requesting funds for a card, or a new temporary virtual card.
