If you have the Bank transfer access add-on as part of your plan, you'll be able to empower your users to spend with Bank transfers by setting up a Pre-approved spend.
With Pre-approved spend for Bank transfers, you'll decide:
- Who you're authorising to make a Bank transfer (single user)
- Who they can pay (single payee)
- How much they can spend (they won't be able to exceed this limit)
Pre-approved spend is perfect for giving users temporary authorisation to make Bank transfers, reduce finance bottlenecks and keep your business moving.
Unlike Temporary cards, there's no expiry on a Pre-approved spend Bank transfer. It will remain active until the payment has been completed by the assignee. They'll only be able to make 1 payment, even if they spend less than the authorised amount.
Create a Pre-approved spend for Bank transfers
- From the left-side menu, select Pre-approved spend.
- Select Create spend.
-
Enter a title and description (optional) for the spend.
-
Select an assignee using the dropdown and then select Next.Tip: This is the person you're authorising to spend with Bank transfer. You can only select 1 assignee per Pre-approved spend.
- In the Payment method section, select Bank transfer.
-
Select the wallet that will be used to fund this Bank transfer. You can only select 1 wallet.
Note: You'll be authorising your spender to spend from the selected wallet up to the amount that you authorise. They won't get any additional authorisation to manage the wallet or view the wallet activity.
-
Select the payee from the dropdown. You can only choose 1 payee.
Tip: If you haven't already set up the payee, you'll need to do this. You can find a full guide on how to add a payee in this article: Add a new payee.
-
Enter the amount, optional reference and then select Next
Note: This is the maximum amount you're authorising the user to spend with a Bank transfer. If they try to spend more than this amount, they won't be able to continue with the Bank transfer payment.
- Provide any additional details for the Pre-approved spend (optional), then select Next.
- Review the details and select Confirm.
You can also set up your Request workflow to enable your users to send a request to make Bank transfers, just like with Temporary cards. If you're interested in enabling this on your account and you already have the Bank transfer access add-on, you can refer to these articles:
