When your Soldo account is set up, a single Main wallet is automatically created for you in the currency based on your country of origin. This wallet becomes your default wallet to store your account funds.
With Soldo, you can also activate additional currencies. After activation, a new Main wallet will be created for you in the selected currency.
Main wallets are the only type of wallets that can accept funds from external sources, e.g.banks via a bank transfer. Main wallets can't be deleted.
How to activate an additional currency
These steps will describe how to activate a new Euro Main wallet. The same steps can be applied to alternative currencies.
1. From the left-side menu, select Wallets.
2. Select Main wallets.
3. Select Manage currencies.
4. Choose the currency that you'd like to add and select Activate.
Activating a new currency will automatically create a new Main wallet for your chosen currency. Main wallets can't be deleted.
The new Main wallet will be created in your chosen currency.
Before you can use the new wallet, you will need to make a deposit or transfer funds.
When your Soldo account is first created, you're given a Main wallet in your local currency based on your company’s registered country. This becomes your default wallet (Billing wallet) to receive and store funds.
If your business operates in multiple currencies, you can activate additional currency wallets. A new Main wallet is created for each currency you add.
How to activate a new currency
- From the main navigation menu, select Wallets.
- Select Main wallets.
- Click Manage currencies.
- Find the currency you want to add, then select Activate.
A new Main wallet will be created in the selected currency and will appear in your wallet list.
Once the new currency wallet is activated, it can be used as a funding source for cards and wallets. For example, you can link it to user cards, Company cards, or use it to fund other wallets such as Company wallets. You can also transfer money between Main wallets in different currencies, depending on your business needs.
