How does the Xero integration fill out the tax rate?

Once you've integrated Xero with Soldo, Soldo will import the chart of accounts, tax rates, and their links from your Xero organisation. These will appear as the Xero category and Xero tax rate respectively within Soldo.

For more details on the fields imported to Soldo during setup, see Which fields will the integration import from Xero and how do I use them?

When you assign a Xero category to a Soldo transaction, Soldo automatically updates the transaction with the Xero tax rate linked to that category. However, if you need to override this automatic assignment, you can manually select a different Xero tax rate within the Transaction details.

Please note:

  • A transaction must include a value for Xero category and Xero tax rate before it can be exported to Xero.
  • If you change the Xero category, the associated Xero tax rate will also change. If you manually select a Xero tax rate, you will need to enter it manually again if you make any changes to the Xero category.
