In Soldo’s updated version (as of April 2021), you’ll no longer be able to create multiple user wallets for a single user in 1 currency. This is because the updated version of Soldo has a limit of 1 user wallet per currency. So instead, you’ll use a mixture of company wallets and main wallets to perform the same function.
Using Soldo’s old version, you may have already collected multiple user wallets for a single user in 1 currency. Soldo’s updated version transforms any of these excess user wallets into a new type of wallet (the new wallet types are explained in detail below). All cards connected to a transformed wallet are converted into company cards. The transformed wallet and cards remain connected.
A more intuitive Soldo
We made this diagram to show you how the updated version of Soldo simplifies your Soldo experience:
In Soldo’s old version, if there are multiple user wallets for a single user in 1 currency, you will notice a change within the updated version of Soldo. This is how we’re doing it in practice:
WALLETS
Any excess user wallets become transformed into either of these 2 new types of Soldo wallets:
- COMPANY WALLET – if the user wallet has 0 cards, or 2+ cards connected to it, then it transforms into a company wallet. A company wallet is a shared wallet that can be used flexibly to feed multiple cards.
- RESERVED WALLET – if the user wallet is connected to just 1 card, it transforms into a reserved wallet. In this case, in the updated version of Soldo you’ll simply see the balance of the card connected to the reserved wallet (but you won’t see it referred to as a reserved wallet, we just want to let you know how things work under the bonnet). In the updated version of Soldo, you’ll only see the term ‘reserved wallet’ when you’re creating a new card.
CARDS
In Soldo’s updated version, user cards that are connected to a transformed wallet become company cards. These company cards are connected to the transformed company wallet.
