Suppose you need to set up automatic transfers to many resources like wallets, users, or cards. Instead of navigating through the setup process for each resource individually, you can simply use auto-transfer presets. These are pre-defined sets of rules you can create and assign to multiple wallets, users, or cards at once. Presets not only save you time but also provide you with better control over how your money is allocated within Soldo.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to create and edit an auto-transfer preset.
Note: You can only create presets for automatic transfers based on either a periodic basis or triggered by a low balance.
- Periodic transfers: allow you to add or remove money from a resource, or top up the balance to a specified amount on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis.
- Low balance transfers: automatically transfer money to a resource when its balance falls below a certain amount.
Where to set up auto-transfers in bulk
In the web app, you can set up and manage bulk auto-transfers from the following place:
- Configure > Bulk auto-transfers
You can also start the creation of a new preset or assign a saved auto-transfer preset to an individual user, wallet, or card directly within the individual resource section. So, either in:
- Users > [Click on a user] > Transfers > Periodic or Low balance
or
- Company wallets > [Click on a wallet] > Transfers >Periodic or Low balance
To start creating a new preset, select Create preset.
To assign one of your saved presets to the user or wallet, click Assign an auto-transfer preset, select a preset, and confirm.
Creating a new auto-transfer preset
To create an auto-transfer preset, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Configure > Bulk auto-transfers
2. Select Create preset.
3. Select the preset type you wish to create.
4. Set up transfer rules.
-
- If you chose Periodic transfers in the previous step, use the Transfer from/to field to select the source or destination wallet. Then, choose your transfer rules.
Understanding the ‘Transfer from/to’ field: For periodic transfers, the selected wallet will send or receive money depending on the way you configure the transfer rules.
-
-
- Set balance to: Money will flow from or to the selected wallet depending on the resource balance on the chosen day. If the resource balance is lower than the specified amount, the resource will receive money from the wallet. If the resource balance is higher than the specified amount, the resource will send money to the wallet.
- Send: Money will be sent from the selected wallet to the resources.
- Remove: Money will be sent from the resources to the selected wallet.
-
-
- If you chose Low balance transfers in the previous step, use the Transfer from field to select the source wallet from which you'll transfer funds to your resources (users, wallets, or cards). Then, set your transfer rules.
When selecting a funding source for your automatic transfers, ensure that the chosen wallet has sufficient funds, otherwise the transfer will fail. If the transfer fails, add the required funds to the funding source, and the system will automatically retry the transfer.
5. Select the resources (users, wallets, or cards) to which you want to assign the transfer rules. The resources will send or receive money based on your transfer rules. If you'd rather select resources later, simply click Skip and select resources later.
Note: Each resource can only get the rules of one auto-transfer preset or set of custom rules at a time. If you select a resource that already has transfer rules, you'll need to decide whether to overwrite the existing rules.
6. Give your preset a recognisable name and, if desired, a description. This helps quickly identify the transfer rules and associated resources when you have multiple saved presets.
7. Review your preset configuration. Once satisfied, confirm and assign it. Congratulations, you've successfully created your first auto-transfer preset!
Once the auto-transfer preset is created, it will appear in the section.

Bulk auto-transfer presets let you automate how money is moved across your Soldo account. Instead of setting up transfer rules for each user, wallet, or card one by one, you can create a preset and apply it to multiple resources in a single step.
This saves time, reduces manual effort, and ensures everyone has access to the funds they need without the risk of missed top-ups or overspending.
What are auto-transfer presets?
An auto-transfer preset is a saved set of transfer rules. You can apply it to one or more users, wallets, or cards to automate how money flows into or out of those resources.
Each preset is based on a specific trigger type:
- Periodic transfers – Transfer money daily, weekly, or monthly on a fixed schedule
- Low balance transfers – Automatically top up a resource when its balance drops below a set amount
You can use presets to:
- Ensure teams or users always have a minimum balance
- Regularly top up project wallets at the start of each month
How to create an auto-transfer preset
- Log in to the web app.
- Go to Configure > Bulk auto-transfers
- Select Create preset
- Choose a transfer type:
- Periodic transfers – Based on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule
-
Low balance transfers – Triggered when a resource balance drops below a defined amount
- Choose the funding source
- Set up your transfer rules. For example:
- Set balance to – Adjust the resource’s balance to a target amount

- Review your setup and select Confirm
Your new preset will appear in the Bulk auto-transfers section, ready to assign or update as needed.
