Send a PIN reminder to a Soldo cardholder via SMS

If a user forgets their card PIN and can't access the Soldo mobile app or Web app, you can send them a one-time PIN reminder by SMS.

Note: Users can always view their PIN securely in the Soldo web or mobile apps, which is the recommended way to retrieve it. PIN reminders are only needed in cases where app access isn’t possible.

When you can send a PIN reminder

You can only send a PIN reminder via SMS for:

  • Plastic cards (not virtual cards)
  • Cards with a single assignee

If a company card is assigned to more than one person, it’s not possible to send a PIN reminder via SMS. This is to protect sensitive card information, as we can’t determine which user should receive the PIN.

How to send a PIN reminder

Who: Super admins, Admins and Limited admins. Leaders (for cards within their resource/permissions group).
  1. From the navigation menu, select Cards.
  2. Select the plastic card you want to send the reminder for.
  3. Click the Card details icon.
  4. Select Send PIN via SMS.

The user will receive the PIN reminder on their registered mobile number.

Important: Encourage users to log in to the Soldo web or mobile app to view their PIN. It's instant and secure. Don't forget you can manage a users device access at anytime. Alternatively, if you need help downloading the mobile app, you can refer to this guide.

Availability

Who: Super admins, Admins and Limited admins. Leaders (for cards within their resource/permissions group).
