Once you've added users to your Soldo account, you're ready to start creating cards. By assigning cards to users, you give them access to company money while keeping full control and visibility over how funds are used.

With Soldo, you’re always in control. You decide:

  • Who can spend
  • What funds they have access to
  • How much they can spend, and how often
  • Where and how they can spend

Any user in your Soldo account can be assigned a card, whether they're an Employee, Admin, or Manager. Cards can be virtual or plastic, depending on your team’s needs.

Note: The number of cards you can create and the card issuing fees depend on your Soldo plan. You can find more details on our pricing page.

Types of Soldo cards

You can choose between two main types of cards:

User cards

User cards are single-user cards. Each card is linked to one specific employee (user) and can't be transferred to someone else. Only the assigned user can use the card.

  • When to use: These cards are ideal for employees who spend regularly. For example, on travel, meals, or equipment.

Company cards

Company cards are multi-user cards. These can be shared by several users, making them ideal for teams, departments, or projects where multiple people need access to shared funds.

  • When to use: Choose a Company card when you need to enable group spending. For example, for a team budget or a short-term project.

When you create a card, you'll need to decide how you'll fund the card. You do this by linking the card to a wallet. When you link a card with a wallet, you're giving access to the funds in that wallet. You can control spending by controlling the amount of funds in the wallet (the amount the card has access to) and additionally, applying rules and spending limits on the card.

Whether you choose a User card or Company card, you’ll always have the tools to manage spend in real-time and stay in control of your company’s money.
