A trusted device is a mobile phone that Soldo recognises as yours. When it’s trusted, Soldo can use it to confirm it’s really you during login to the web app or when you make certain payments. This helps keep your account secure.
You can only have one trusted device at a time.
How a trusted device works
Your trusted device is linked to the mobile phone number saved in your Soldo profile. Soldo uses this number to verify your identity. Only mobile numbers registered in Soldo are accepted.
If you change your phone but keep the same mobile number, you can install the Soldo mobile app on your new device. When you log in, Soldo will detect that you’re using a different device and will ask if you want to replace your trusted device. Once you confirm, your new phone becomes your trusted device.
When you need to update your mobile number
If your mobile phone number has changed, you’ll need to update it in Soldo before you can set up a new trusted device.
You can update your mobile number by:
- Logging into the web app: Go to your user information section and choose the Edit option to update your mobile phone number.
- Using the mobile app: Go to Account > My Profile section and request a change.
Once your number is updated, install the mobile app on your new device and log in. Soldo will guide you to set it as your new trusted device.
