Soldo admins can set the requirements that must be met for a transaction to be exported from Soldo to Xero. Admins can decide whether to make attachments (usually a receipt or proof of purchase) compulsory for every transaction.
When you set up the Xero integration, you’ll be asked to customise the rules for exporting Soldo transactions to Xero in a step called ‘Transaction rules’. Or you can edit these at any time in the integration’s Settings.
How to set transaction rules:
During the Xero integration setup, you’ll be asked to customise the rules for exporting Soldo transactions to Xero in the final Transaction rules section:
- Use the toggle switch named Bank feed to choose if the bank feed can be disabled. If enabled, all previously day's settled transactions will be imported to your Xero account every morning. Read more on this here.
- Use the toggle switch named Attachment to decide if an attachment is required for each transaction. If enabled, only transactions that have attachments can be exported to Xero.
- Review the lists that must be added to each transaction. To make any changes, click Back to return to the previous section.
- Click Complete setup.
How to edit the attachment rules:
You can change the transaction attachment rule at any time from the integration’s Settings page:
- From the left-side menu, select Integrations then Marketplace.
- Within the Xero integration box, click Settings.
- Under the Transaction rules tab, check or uncheck the box next to: 'An attachment must be added to each transaction'.
- Click Save.
How to edit the exporting rules:
- From the left panel, select Integrations then Marketplace.
- Within the Xero integration box, click Settings.
- Under Exporting rules select an option for how you want to export the transactions to Xero:
- A transaction without an attached invoice is exported to Xero as a 'Spend Money' transaction. If the transaction comes with an attached invoice, it is exported to Xero as a 'Bill'.
- Every transaction is exported to Xero as a 'Spend Money' transaction.
- Every transaction is exported to Xero as a 'Bill'.
